How to get it
- Open urban:EXPORT and find the place: search by city, address or coordinates, or drag the map.
- Choose the area shape — square, circle or a free rectangle — and its size (up to 100 km²).
- Pick the layers: buildings, roads, bridges, terrain, contours, water and green areas, trees.
- Press Create model. In about a minute you get a 3D preview, a drawing and the satellite image.
- Open the Vector map editor under the model, choose a preset (Classic, Figure-ground, Relief, Night, Blueprint), adjust colours, labels, shadows and scale, then save SVG or PNG.
What you get
- Layers for buildings (or buildings by use), roads, paths, railways, water, green areas, trees, contours and the site boundary.
- Labels as real text objects: streets along their direction, water and parks inside their outlines, districts and squares; English names where available.
- Shadows from the sun direction and height, hillshade and a depth map of the terrain.
- Scale bar, north arrow and coordinate grid at 1:500 – 1:10 000.
Tips
- Choose Figure-ground for a classic black-and-white urban plan.
- The label halo is a separate layer (LABELS_HALO) — delete it for a cleaner look.
- Need an axonometric view? Use the Vector illustration editor next to the map.
Questions
Are the labels editable in Illustrator?
Yes. Every label is a normal text object, grouped by type: LABELS_STREETS, LABELS_WATER, LABELS_PARKS and LABELS_PLACES.
Can I print it to scale?
Yes. The SVG is sized in millimetres for the chosen scale, from 1:500 to 1:10 000.
